The fully branded iCONIC 12 screen was provided to events company Maynineteen as the centrepiece for the special Wimbledon Village that they had created at the shopping centre. Maynineteen had transformed a large area of one of the carparks into a Wimbledon wonderland, which was laid with turf and included their very own "Murray Mound", created with 250 tons of soil which was turfed over to create a fantastic viewing area. White picket fencing, deck chairs and a strawberries & cream stand completed the effect, whilst the screen was located in prime position ensuring no-one missed a second of the whole two week tournament.
iDola supplied a PA system along with the screen as well as full wraparound branding around the trailer, which utilised the large area beneath the screen to promote the event and its sponsors.
As well as attracting shoppers to Cheshire Oaks, Wimbledon Village was a great place for spouses to relax whilst their partners shopped! The fine weather that saw the first rain free Wimbeldon in 15 years was also in evidence up the M6, and viewers were bathed in glorious sun as they relaxed on Murray Mound or in deck chairs throughout the tournament.
With the World Cup also taking place over the same period, the screen also broadcast two of England's matches, drawing large crowds for both matches against Slovenia and Germany.
Customer Quote
"The iCONIC 12 was a perfect size for the location and the trailer branding provided a perfect space to promote the event and our sponsors. The event proved to be a great success and helped to draw customers to Cheshire Oaks during hot and dry weather that can traditionally prove challenging for the retail sector."
